Job Summary:
Join us in shaping the future of aviation! Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is seeking an experienced Senior Drafter to enhance our team. Our Ideal candidate will be providing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and drafting support for the FAA, primarily focused on generating, reviewing, and coordinating design and configuration management drawings, along with other drawings assigned by FAA Management. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in CAD drafting, with the ability to create accurate and detailed design and configuration management drawings. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential. Proficiency with CAD software in construction projects, ideally in government agencies/DOD, as well as a solid understanding of drafting standards and practices are required.
This role supports the Federal Aviation Administration, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of 45,000 flights and 3 million passengers traversing over 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace every day. In addition to providing air traffic control and safety oversight for civilian aviation, the FAA also works in lockstep with the Department of Defense and other government agencies to ensure the security of our nation. A key component of that coordination involves the collaborative use of aviation tools and data.

- Generating, reviewing, and coordinating design and configuration management drawings in the federal government
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and ensuring the accuracy and quality of all produced drawings.
- working closely with team members to ensure all design specifications and project requirements are met efficiently and effectively
- at managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
- CAD software in construction projects, ideally in government agencies/DOD, as well as a solid understanding of drafting standards and practices are required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable area (i.e. Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, Architecture.)
- Experience supporting the FAA or other US Government clients
- Eligible to obtain a Secret clearance
- CAD software in construction projects, ideally in government agencies/DOD, as well as a solid understanding of drafting standards and practices are required.
Work Requirements: Hybrid (if located in DC, there will be an expectation of being onsite to align with OAS policies.)
