The Open Communications Systems (OCS) organization within Collins Aerospace, is designing communications systems for Next Generation technologies across a wide variety of platform

We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to work onsite in Fort Wayne, IN.

What You Will Do:
  • Design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital or power CCAs for modern communication systems
  • Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART
  • Design and implement test plans to ensure compliance to requirements and specifications
  • Work with third party vendors for design and component selection
  • Work closely with different engineering disciplines


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Proficient in Schematic Design - Parts selection, Schematic capture, Library management, and Parts Lists creation
  • Proficient with EE Design Tools: MATLAB, SIMULINK, Keysight ADS, and Mentor Graphics
  • Experience in Artwork (ODB++) validation, reviewing, and approving PWB/CCA drawing sets
  • Proven ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and develop a complete hardware design and verifying via test and integration
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong familiarity with electronics; RF, Digital or High Power as well as physical and mechanical aspects of interfacing applications.
  • Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies
  • Able to balance multiple assignments simultaneously

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
