Compensation: $135,000 - $185,000 / year

Description

The Precision Neuroscience Electrical Engineer is responsible for electronics systems and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design supporting Precision brain-computer interface (BCI) devices. They will be involved in the full life-cycle of the design, from spec formation through testing and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for establishing specifications of electronics systems in the Precision device, including both custom ASICs and off-the-shelf components
  • Independently map product requirements to electronics specifications
  • Design electronics used in both clinical and manufacturing environments
  • Coordination with test teams and test facilities (including ASICs and software)
  • Collaborate cross functionally


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 7 or more years of experience designing PCBs and electronic systems for medical devices or similar fields
  • Experience bringing up new electronic systems in the lab, characterizing electrical performance, and debugging PCB systems
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium) and software, simulation, etc
  • Familiarity with DFM principles and best practices for high reliability applications
  • Basic programming and scripting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline
