Who We're Looking For:
As a key member of the R&D team, the Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing engineering activities in support of new product development as well as providing R&D support to existing products in our portfolio. This includes product and component design, electronics design, customer and product specification development, software and hardware integration and other product development activities in support of revenue, quality, production, and cost reduction goals.

As a key member of the R&D team, the Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing engineering activities in support of new product development as well as providing R&D support to existing products in our portfolio. This includes product and component design, electronics design, customer and product specification development, software and hardware integration and other product development activities in support of revenue, quality, production, and cost reduction goals.
About the Role:
- Own the electrical engineering aspects of medical device design including schematic capture, PCB layout, requirements management, verification test design, manufacturing design transfer, and change plans.
- Responsible for product engineering in compliance with the medical device design control requirements globally.
- Responsible for new product development projects for electromechanical assemblies, electronics, wired and wireless communication design, as well as medical electrical safety and EMC related design compliance.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, clinicians, regulatory specialists, marketing reps, and technical service reps to bring products to the market.
- Coordinate testing with external labs to support global medical electrical safety and EMC standards (60601-1 and its associated subparts).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and contribute positively within a global product development team.
- Technical aptitude, "hands-on" approach to engineering, and good understanding of engineering concepts including FEA, design for manufacturing and design for quality.
- Ability to lead and work on multiple projects concurrently, and work with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Understanding of test method validation, verification, validation and analytical methods and experience with statistics and design of experiments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced skills with ECAD software, Altium Designer is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable standards/regulations such as FDA QSR (CFR Title 21 Part 820), EU 2017/745 ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 60601-1 preferred.
- Injection Molding Experience preferred.
- 3D CAD software skills (SolidWorks) strongly preferred.
