A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Employment Attorney to join their team in either their Short Hills, NJ or New York, NY office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex litigation and employment law matters while providing legal counsel to a wide range of clients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee litigation for class action and single plaintiff cases, including matters related to wage and hour violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and breach of contract.
- Provide expert advice and counsel on various employment law issues, including restrictive covenants, employee mobility, compensation practices, employee policies, and leave of absence/accommodations.
- Draft and negotiate employment, termination/severance, and related agreements.
- Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence.
- Handle complex employment law issues, including FMLA, ADA compliance, and employee training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation, advice, and transactional work.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour laws and discrimination laws.
- Experience in defending class and collective actions, providing day-to-day advice to clients, and supporting corporate transactions.
- Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide strategic solutions.
- JD degree and admission to the bar in New Jersey and/or New York.

- Competitive compensation, with an expected annual pay range of $250,000 - $300,000, dependent on experience, skills, and geographic market.
