The engineer supports the testing such as On Machine Structural Analysis (OMSA), Mounted Equipment Resonance (MER) or cooling performance tests as outlined in our Standard Test Procedures (STP) by contributing in pretest meetings, participating in the data collection as needed, and reviewing the data collected in the Data Analysis Tool Kit (DATK). Through the manufacturing process, the engineer will utilize the Built-In Quality (BIQ) process to establish quality gates to look for defects in the design and rapidly escalate the need for a design change to ensure quality targets are maintained. The engineer will execute Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects to improve quality by making design changes as outlined above.
