The Senior Enterprise Engineer is responsible for supporting Information Technology based systems at the company and its affiliated companies while serving as a technical SME and/or resource on various IT projects and tasks. Provides tier 3 level support for enterprise systems. Acts as Project Manager for small projects.

The Senior Enterprise Engineer is responsible for supporting Information Technology based systems at the company and its affiliated companies while serving as a technical SME and/or resource on various IT projects and tasks. Provides tier 3 level support for enterprise systems. Acts as Project Manager for small projects.
- Reviews market trends within the CoreCivic space and recommends technology strategies to align with the business initiatives. Develops and maintains the technology roadmaps that drive innovation within the organization for all infrastructure hardware, software and cloud-based technologies to improve the customer experience, efficiency to innovate and excel.
- Reviews technical designs to ensure that they are consistent with defined architecture principles, standards and best practices. Accountable for the availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability enabled by the designs. Works with business partners to ensure design meets desired outcomes.
- Collaborates with both IT and business senior leadership to influence budget decisions for technology and business investment.
- Governs the introduction of new technologies. Reviews, aligns, and drives technology plans with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes.
- Translates business requirements into technical designs that ensure availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability.
- Develops and maintains written policies, procedures, standards and best practices using vendor or industry standard sources to build and support CoreCivic Enterprise IT environments.
- Manages cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines.
- Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced team members through complex troubleshooting processes and translates very technical information into user terminology for business units.
- Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other related field is required.
- Four years of experience in a similar role for a multi-location enterprise organization is required.
- Additional related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- MSCE and/or VCP certification is preferred.
- Experience supporting various infrastructure technologies within a multi-platform, enterprise environment including but not limited to: Public and Private Cloud Management Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS, Office365 Suite, VMware, Storage and Backup Technologies, Citrix, Cisco UCS Platform, SCCM, Disaster Recovery, Hyper converge technologies Nutanix (preferred), server build, maintenance and support, Active Directory management, installing and supporting operating systems- Windows, Linux etc.
- Knowledge of IAAS, SAAS, PAAS and DRAAS.
- Knowledge of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge of IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi-platform environment.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate and coordinate with team members and other organizational groups or customers to ensure the proper design, implementation, support and maintenance of systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
