The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. The Senior Estimator is responsible for major construction cost estimates and be involved in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of the project. They will also be involved in the post-job financial and performance analysis. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Responsibilities
  • Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects
  • Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work
  • Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, and obtaining materials
  • Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline
  • Regularly reporting to management and keeping clients updated on project status
  • Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques
  • Eventually create and lead a unified estimation department
  • Acquire and train new estimators as needed to keep up with the market demand.
  • Collaborate with pre-construction teams & project managers throughout construction to successfully complete jobs.
  • Solicit and maintain good relations with sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Preform post-job analysis with job Project Managers and Department Managers

Requirements and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent degree
  • Proven experience as an estimator in the construction field
  • Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, methodologies, and software
  • Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced and deadline driven environment
