As a Senior Events Manager at Box, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic execution and management of Box's flagship events, including BoxWorks and CIOWorks. This role requires a highly skilled individual with deep expertise in event planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement. You will collaborate across teams and functions, ensuring that all event elements align with Box's business goals while creating exceptional experiences for our attendees. This position demands independent judgment, expert problem-solving, and the ability to lead complex, high-visibility projects.

- Lead and manage the planning, development, and execution of marquee events such as BoxWorks and CIOWorks, ensuring alignment with Box's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define event objectives, strategies, and success metrics.
- Drive project timelines, budgets, and resources, optimizing processes and delivering high-quality events on time and within budget.
- Develop event content strategies and agendas that resonate with target audiences, including C-level executives.
- Identify and mitigate potential business risks associated with event execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for all major event-related decisions, providing insights and recommendations.
- Evaluate data and feedback to continuously improve event strategy and execution, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
- Cultivate relationships with vendors, partners, and external stakeholders to secure top-tier event services and sponsorships.
WHO YOU ARE:
- 8+ years of experience in event management, with a focus on large-scale or high-visibility events.
- Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder events that align with organizational goals and drive business impact.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, adapt to changing priorities, and make quick decisions with long-term vision.
- Strong expertise in budget management, contract negotiation, and risk assessment.
- Experience with C-level engagement and the ability to develop strategic agendas tailored to executive audiences.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.
