Summary:
This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of utilities, HVAC, compressed air & chilled water systems. Other system responsibilities include environmental equipment specific to lithium-ion battery production as well as dry room technologies. Person will ensure full compliance with the company's policies and objectives in all matters related to Facilities Utility Maintenance, including equipment, utilities, and contracts.

Person will ensure full compliance with the company's policies and objectives in all matters related to Facilities Utility Maintenance, including equipment, utilities, and contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new and/or refurbish plant utility systems equipment, ensuring proper sizing, piping, and electrical connections. Ensure the proper commissioning of new equipment and utility systems, including startup procedures and performance verification
- Collaborate with contractors and technicians to complete installations per specifications.
- Collaborate with external utility companies to ensure optimal power delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and audit comprehensive maintenance plans for plant utility systems and utility equipment to minimize downtime in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Will have complete ownership of the CMMS, helping to develop and implement the most effective PM strategies
- Implement efficiency-enhancing projects and upgrades for plant utility systems. Prepare engineering specifications for bid invitation, evaluate, and perform bid evaluation and conformed bid evaluations for purchase related to ongoing preventative maintenance activities and project work
- Provide rapid troubleshooting and repair support for plant utility equipment issues, minimizing disruptions to operations
- Perform PM and energy audits, FMEAs, and spares analysis for critical equipment to ensure Utility department is performing at optimum levels. Ensure general plant and plant utility equipment is current and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations
- Modify the Utility Matrix and Process specification drawing to maintain current plant system drawings
- Implement and utilize data monitoring tools (SCADA, BMS, IoT solutions) for predictive maintenance, efficiency analysis, and fault detection
- Must be able to communicate project and maintenance schedules to all impacted parties and resolve any scheduling discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in maintaining large plant systems and manufacturing clean rooms
- Knowledge of SCADA and PLC-based systems
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electronic, plumbing, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of safe work practices and industry codes (OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, EPA)
- Willingness to work occasional off-shift hours or be on-call for emergency troubleshooting

- Lean Six Sigma and Predictive Maintenance knowledge a preferred
- Proficiency in written and verbal Korean preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in industrial environments using appropriate PPE for industry
- Ability to lift, push, pull, stoop, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when required
