Senior Fashion Designer

Our Company: BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names, such as Ted Baker, Vince Camuto, CeCe, 1.state and Parker.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the concept development process including color stories, prints, and seasonal themes.
• Design across all women's categories-wovens and cut & sew knits-with a strong focus on fabrication, fit, and detail.
• Create clear, compelling sketches that bring design ideas to life.
• Collaborate closely with internal design teams, overseas factories, and Nordstrom's private label partners to ensure product execution meets design intent.
• Build and present seasonal design decks and CAD presentations for virtual and in-person meetings.
• Manage timelines, samples, and deliverables efficiently to stay on track throughout the development cycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in women's apparel design.
• Strong sense of style and elevated aesthetic.
• Excellent concepting skills-color, print, silhouette-with a focus on commercial viability.
• Deep understanding of construction, fabrication, and fit across woven and knit categories (sweater expertise not required).
• Strong sketching ability (hand or digital).
• Highly collaborative and communicative; thrives in team settings and cross-functional partnerships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in design software and Microsoft Office, with the ability to create impactful PowerPoint/CAD presentations for virtual meetings.

Salary range for this role starts at $125,000 per year, but is dependent upon each candidate's qualifications and experience level.
