Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and modeling, preparation of consolidated financial plans and budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, preparation of month end reporting including narratives, and various ad hoc reporting.

Competencies:
Education and Experience:
Education: BS in Finance or related discipline or equivalent work experience
MBA degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant financial analysis experience
Preferred: Corporate performance applications
Power BI
Previous experience in Great Plains Software
Process improvement experience a plus

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and modeling, preparation of consolidated financial plans and budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, preparation of month end reporting including narratives, and various ad hoc reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops integrated and dynamic financial and operational analysis, for actuals, budgets and forecasts for internal and external reports, and presentations.
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including coordinating timelines, managing the forecast model and the consolidation process, collaborate cross-functionally to document key assumptions, lead review meetings, and complete all required materials for review by senior management. and other operational key performance indicators for internal and investor reports and presentations.
- Perform variance analysis of business performance relative to budget metrics and prior periods, investigate source and root cause of results and concisely articulate analysis/findings and present appropriate actions.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management and develop business plans leveraging insights into operational structure and functions.
- Support annual budget development process including completing various ad-hoc analyses to add insights into the budget and participate in budget presentation.
- Produce designated management reporting including insightful analysis and commentary to convey key insights and provide a basis for action. Ensure accuracy and completeness by reviewing the work of others.
- Provide financial expertise by working on and leading cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are modeled appropriately and that financial ramifications are adequately considered. Act as the primary contact on projects engaging with senior leadership throughout the process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members of the finance team and the business partners that we support. Seek feedback and improve performance to ensure we are driving standards of excellence.
- Leverage existing tools and systems to pull and summarize data as well as provide creative alternatives and recommendations for increased sophistication to existing financial reports and KPI dashboards.
- Synthesize data and create standardized processes and procedures for reports and dashboards.

- Proficient in MS Office, specifically excel spreadsheets (formatting, graphs/charts, advanced formulas, task automation, PivotTables, etc.) and other financial software or business analytics applications
- Must be able to read and/or interpret numbers and letters correctly
- Must work with numbers to calculate timeframe and evaluate costs and losses
- Must demonstrate organization and prioritization skills to manage time
- Experienced professional with high standards of excellence and adherence to deadlines
- Self-starter able to function effectively in a fast-paced growing company and adapt to change
- Strong financial modeling ability for utilization in budget and forecasting processes
- Ability to synthesize various, independently generated data points into a cohesive analysis
