HealthPartners is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Health Plan financial planning and analysis team supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning for the Health Plan. This position will provide financial guidance with the areas of support and supporting strategic initiatives to improve financial performance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Provides financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital review and project support to health plan departments assigned. 30%
  • Supports the company's financial forecasting, long range planning and budgeting processes including developing key trend assumptions. 20%
  • Analyzes and organizes qualitative and quantitative financial data from multiple sources and synthesizes results into meaningful reports and presentations on a regular basis. 20%
  • Works with cost center managers to develop operating and financial analysis of various projects 10%
  • Supports development and review of pro-formas for capital and project requests. 10%
  • Performs special projects as required. Participates in the coordination of a variety of complex and confidential special projects, from planning and design states through implementation. 10%


  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • BA/BS in finance, accounting, or business related field
    • 4+ years' experience in finance, accounting, and/or business related field
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Budgeting and forecasting experience
    • Demonstrated ability to design analytical reports and make informed decisions and recommendations from detailed financial, trend and operational data
    • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills including the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management
    • Thorough understanding of methods of data and systems analysis and the principles, design and procedural methods used in data analytics and financial strategy development
    • Strong Excel, Powerpoint and modeling skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with accounting and financial systems, including general ledger
    • Ability to sustain successful, positive partnerships with executives, senior leaders, and business operations management

    PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS:
    • Experience/knowledge of healthcare industry
    • Experience working with Oracle ERP and/or Oracle Budgeting.
