About the role
Forterra's Finance team is seeking a motivated and versatile Senior Financial Analyst who will play a critical role across all aspects of our financial operations. From preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to supporting investor relations, you'll help Forterra maintain compliance, achieve strategic goals, and drive operational efficiencies. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders-from Business Development to Operations-as well as with external resources such as auditors, tax advisors, and financing partners. Forterra is a fast-growing company at the early stages of growth. In keeping with our dynamic environment, members of our Finance team must be resourceful, creative, and eager to take ownership of complex projects. The Financial Analyst role demands attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to meet Forterra's evolving business needs. In addition to financial reporting and forecasting, you will handle budgeting, investor relations, board reporting, and process improvements. Experience across all these areas is not required, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

What you'll do
- Be a Key Member of a Small, Dynamic Finance Team:
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in Accounting, Business Development, and Operations to support Forterra's financial health and growth.
- Embrace diverse responsibilities and step into leadership roles on major projects that significantly impact our company's trajectory.
- Drive Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Support annual financial audits by partnering with the accounting team and external auditors to address requests and maintain compliance.
- Own and manage reporting timelines driven by the company's agreements with investors and members.
- Maintain accurate investor information, including issuance of annual W-9s and coordination with external tax advisors for the preparation of annual K-1s.
- Forecasting & Analysis:
- Work with the Business Development team to create revenue forecasts, factoring in demand planning insights from Operations and assessing their impact on cash flow.
- Develop and maintain financial models for regular reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning-including BOM cost and unit economics for hardware and software sales.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to internal stakeholders, informing critical decisions that shape Forterra's growth.
- Review and interpret contracts to ensure revenue and cash flows are forecasted accurately and recognized at the appropriate intervals.
- Budget Management:
- Collaborate with department heads to formulate, track, and manage budgets across the organization.
- Identify and analyze variances against budget, recommending corrective actions to help teams meet financial targets.
- Investor Relations & Board Reporting:
- Support investor updates and maintain positive relationships with financing parties.
- Prepare board presentation materials that communicate Forterra's financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
- Systems & Process Improvements:
- Partner with the Business Systems & Integration team to implement and manage financial systems that enhance reporting capabilities and data accuracy.
- Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to streamline workflows and strengthen Forterra's finance function.
- Ad-Hoc Projects & Additional Responsibilities:
- Take on special projects as they arise to support the broader finance department and the company's strategic goals.
- Be prepared to adapt to shifting priorities and handle new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial software (e.g., NetSuite).
- Advanced financial modeling skills.
- Prior involvement in M&A transactions, investor relations, or fundraising activities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field .
- 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or accounting.
- Extensive experience with advanced Formulas and Functions in Excel.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
