GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the divisions budgeting, financial planning, reporting, Insurance and risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance, if needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
o Developing and implementing financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, and analyzing financial performance for KMI San Jose, KMI Sacramento and Consolidated KMI America.
o Provide Quarterly forecasting (AOP, FC0, FCI, FCII, FCIII, SOP (5-year plan) with the forecast schedules below for KMI San Jose, KMI Sacramento and Consolidated KMI America.
o 1-Income Statement
o 2-Balance Sheet
o 3-Statement of Cash Flow
o 4-Waterfall & Backlog
o 5-Bookings Forecast
o 6-Pipeline
o 7-Win/Loss Report
Budget Management:
o Overseeing the budgeting process by collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate forecasting and managing financial resources effectively.
o Preparing and presenting monthly comparison of actual versus forecasted amounts and providing written explanations for the variances.
Risk Management:
o Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing internal controls where required.
o Lead on all Insurance matters requests
Cash Management:
o Managing cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity, and optimizing cash balances.
Other Finance Tasks:
o Lead on identifying, negotiating and managing facility and equipment leases.
o Monitoring of all pool costs and related rate variances
o Participation in monthly financial review meetings with Corporate
o Collaboration with PM (or someone wearing the hat) to develop and update EACs (POC and loss) with documented explanations for material changes
o Develop partial relief calculations for work orders
o Engage with SS Accounting to review monthly reports and resolve ad hoc issues with notables being:
o Revenue Summary, Backlog, Rate Variance
o Assist in development of reports related to OPEX reviews
o Assist in SAC integration activities as it relates to Finance. This includes Costpoint conversion.
o Sales Order Review and mange CP workflow
o Adhere to Kratos approval matrix related to all finance activities
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position will have supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
GAAP knowledge including recent revenue recognition and lease accounting standards required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Strong multitasker, organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Demonstrated financial management skills, sound judgment, and high ethical standards required.
Strong Leadership skills required.
Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and maintain respect for others, and following company policies.
Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.

Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum 8 years of public accounting and industry experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Sox experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience/
Preferred experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office/Cubicle environment.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
