Green River Distillery is located in Owensboro and is the 10th oldest distillery in the state producing more than 90,000 barrels of bourbon and rye for its own brands and partners. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support our owned brands (Green River and Bardstown Bourbon Company). This role is crucial in supporting our enterprise with financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decisions and optimize brand performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably within the spirits industry.

Position Overview

This role is crucial in supporting our enterprise with financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decisions and optimize brand performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably within the spirits industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Margin Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of brand margins to identify areas for improvement and support strategic decision-making.
- Brand Pricing Architecture: Develop and maintain a comprehensive brand pricing structure to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.
- ROI Analysis on Marketing Spend: Evaluate the return on investment for marketing expenditures to ensure effective allocation of resources and maximize returns.
- Budget Management: Maintain up-to-date budgets in line with the P&L to deliver bottom line growth for our brands ensuring alignment with overall financial goals and objectives.
- Reporting: Prepare and present monthly brand analytics and financial reports to the marketing team and senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Brand Analysis: Build capabilities and tools around category segments, channel opportunities, and state performance in align with overall growth objectives.
- Competitive Analysis: Interpret competitive pricing trend data, Nielsen metrics.
- Forecasting: Ability to support forecasting growth of owned brands based on market dynamics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis, preferably within the spirits industry.
- Intimate knowledge on creating pricing structures, doing price sensitivity, and
- Proficient in understanding and working within Nielsen, VIP, and IWSR data
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent knowledge of financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
