As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will collaborate with the team to design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems, acting as a technical leader and mentor for junior engineers. You will also participate in firmware architecture design, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability, while collaborating with hardware and software teams.

Our Cold Chain business unit is the leading provider of electronic controls and optimization services for supermarket, convenience store, restaurant, and refrigerated transportation customers and the OEMs that serve them. The business unit is comprised of multiple acquisitions organized to add value to Copeland's world-leading products through control, connectivity, and monitoring. The business generates half of its revenue outside of North America and employs over 1,200 people globally. Headquartered in the Greater Atlanta area, the business has major operations in Minnesota, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, China, and the Philippines. The Cold Chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. There are many opportunities for advancement within the Eden Prairie location.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field - Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ experience working within the Firmware space.
- Strong skillset in C & C++
- Ability to provide new product, product features, and major cost reduction ideas.
- Knowledge in different Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and practices.
- Up-to-date knowledge of product security.
- Experience in leading product safety discussions and following up through to issue resolution.
- Linux OS Experience is a bonus
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Work independently with minimum supervision in designing embedded firmware and software.
- Work as a team with a Project Manager and directly with the customer to develop specifications to meet their needs.
- Work with the customers to provide continuing engineering support during all phases of firmware design and through the life of the product.
- Assist Sales and Marketing by meeting with current and potential customers to demonstrate our engineering capabilities.
- Connect with an extended global NPD team.
- Form relationships with customers, while adhering to communication policies and IP control.
- Provide direction to and mentor others (local or global) on firmware design, architecture, and testing.
- Provide final review and/or design authority on firmware products.
- Coordinate and guide the product security efforts.
- Ensure successful internal transfer of knowledge/technology to others
