Description:
Ingredion is hiring a Technical Service Senior Technologist to provide technical support and expertise to customers for a broad range of food and beverage applications. The Senior Technologist will work closely with our go-to-market team (Technical Service, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, etc.) to support regional customer accounts assigned to the US/Canada Texture & Healthful Solutions technical service team based out of Englewood, CO; support our business initiatives for the growth of our specialty/innovation products; and assist with managing existing product line and developing new products/creating customer-valued solutions. The Senior Technologist will be responsible for developing food formulations and prototypes for various customer and business initiatives on pilot plant and lab/benchtop scale utilizing Good Manufacturing Practices. They will also perform research-related duties as needed/assigned; support internal and external customer requests; and execute analytical testing, including documenting results and preparing technical reports with guidance from manager.

Pay Range:
$81,680.00-$108,906.67 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.

Core Responsibilities:
- Support assigned customer accounts and lead customer engagements/projects with these accounts.
- Provide technical support across a broad range of food applications, applying product and application knowledge to identify solutions for external and internal customers.
- Utilize project management skills to manage and prioritize work, executing work packages & project plans according to shifting goals to align with business needs. Understand project priorities and workload to balance multiple demands and deliver projects on time.
- Interact/collaborate closely with overall technical service team, research/applications functions, and sales/business development/marketing partners in US/Canada to identify customer/internal formulation challenges, solve problems, and develop innovative ideas.
- Support demo/prototype development and application validation work to promote our products and capabilities.
- Conduct lab/benchtop, pilot scale, and production scale trials in our own facilities and/or at customers' facilities.
- Build knowledge of the company's technologies, product functionalities, and their application in customer products and different food categories.
- Conduct qualification and application testing to support product line management of existing line product and new product launches.
- Perform work needed to provide tools for our specialty/innovation product initiatives, contributing to business growth and continuity.
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, or related scientific field with relevant product development experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Knowledge of common food applications/processes, food ingredient functionality, and ingredient interactions.
- Ability to formulate products across a wide range of food categories (savory applications experience and/or culinary-focused background a plus).
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required for food formulation development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Previous laboratory, pilot plant, and benchtop experience in the food industry highly desired. Prior customer experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive technical reports and deliver technical presentations.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision; ability to deal well with ambiguity and embrace a dynamic work environment.
- Customer-focused mindset, proven people skills, self-motivation, and focus on results.
- Team player and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Ability to travel up to 20-30% domestically.
