Senior GL Accountant - COGS

Description

Location: Seattle, SODO office

Position: Full-Time

Rate: $85,000 - $105,000 DOE

About this role

Outdoor Research is seeking a team-oriented Senior GL Accountant who will own a wide array of general ledger activities. Responsibilities will include overseeing the operational accounting of assigned balance sheet GLs, month-end close tasks, reconciliations and annual audit support. This role will be responsible for the accounting and analysis of cost-of-goods sold and inventory, managing fixed assets and coordinating the commission payout process. This highly visible role is critical to the success of Outdoor Research and works closely with other cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting and stewardship of the company's assets. The ideal candidate is a passionate and energetic team player with an eye for process improvements.

Position Requirements

What you should bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 5+ years of accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven success working cross-functionally
  • Broad based GL experience, including experience with cost-of-goods sold
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of GAAP or IFRS
  • Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
