Job Summary .
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Working within the Group Sales Team to consistently meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets. Build strong relationships with key decision makers in assigned territory to ensure hotel is outpacing competitive set in market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
Contribute to the strategic planning, development and implementation of group sales initiatives.
Maintain appropriate sales activity in assigned market to achieve revenue results.
Establish, enhance and maintain productive sales relationships with new and existing internal and external customers.
Develop, solicit and negotiate high-end luxury group business (10+ rooms on peak)
Maintain a solid understanding of competitive hotels in marketplace
Conduct site inspections throughout property creating a memorable experience for clients
Liaise with Langham Global Sales teams and participate in sales blitzes, tradeshows and client events.
Assist with building, managing, and selling group promotions.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure flawless execution of group stays and participate in solving problems with other departments as they arise.
Requirement .
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Digital dexterity, e.g. using computer keyboard, computer/software applications
Due to the cyclical nature of sales, work schedule may vary to reflect the business needs of the hotel/clients.
Based on assigned sales territory, business travel may be required.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Sets high personal performance standards with strong performance record and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Communicates openly and clearly, develops positive working relationships at all levels and manages conflict effectively.
Ability to motivate, influence and inspires others.
Adapts quickly and positively to new situations and continues to be productive in changing circumstances.
Ability to create, use and comprehend various sources of information, e.g. revenue reports, procedural documentation, sales presentations, etc.
Prompt and systematic decision making skills requiring limited guidance
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE /LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES / REQUIRED:
Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in one of the following fields: hotel sales (luxury market preferred), hotel revenue management, hotel operations
Experience with Delphi, Opera, Shiji, IDeaS, Knowland, CVENT and other RFP platforms
