The Senior Human Resources Manager will lead and oversee all HR functions for Bellingham Marine's multi-state U.S. operations. This role partners with leadership to develop and implement talent strategies, ensures compliance with employment regulations, and oversees key HR processes, including recruitment, benefits, payroll, training, and employee relations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff in the human resources department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Partners with the executive and management team to understand and execute the organizations' goals and implement talent strategies to achieve those goals. Provides support and guidance to management and other staff to respond to issuesin the workplace including the application of policies within the workforce, regulatorycompliance, investigations and terminations. Oversees the talent acquisition process which includes recruitment, interviewing andhiring of qualified applicants. Analyzes compensation and benefits of the organization, recommends strategies,and oversees the implementation of same. This position is responsible for themarketing, implementation and regulatory compliance of the benefit programs. Responsible for overseeing the payroll function and ensuring the accuracy andregulatory compliance of the compensation system. Responsible for verifying theaccuracy of certified payroll calculations and compliance with certified payroll lawsand regulations. Oversees the learning and development programs. Oveersees and/or performs disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Recommends best practices, policies and processes to maintain compliance. Identifies emerging laws and regulations and ensures implementation in the workplace. Responsible for all regulatory reporting. Oversees the implementation of technology and tools relating to the HR Department.
