Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

This Industrial Manufacturing Engineer position is within our Industrial Automation & Electrification business unit and will work with all Value Streams at our manufacturing facility in Landisville, PA. They will in support manufacturing operations and apply extensive knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles, practices, and procedures to drive continuous improvement across all our processes including stamping, brazing, plating, assembly, and packaging. This role will be critical in maintaining and improving our plant's manufacturing systems; performing required system maintenance and updates for new and existing products. This individual will interface with all manufacturing operations and support the strategic goal for automation and capacity growth.

Specific job responsibilities can include, but are not limited to, the following:

Primary Responsibilities
Continuous improvement efforts and drive production efficiency initiatives
Transfer and migration of product lines into and from the facility
New product / process introduction
Support varied manufacturing projects, including process improvements and cost reduction activities
Support and practice Lean / TEOA initiatives
Plan equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maximize efficiency and maintain safe utilization of plant facilities
Validate original cost estimates to actual costs for launched programs
Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements and improvements
Maintain records and systems for coordinating manufacturing operations
Establish standard costs, and load and update the SAP system for BOMs and process routings
Coordinate SAP data transfer for incoming products and processes
Prepare capital equipment justifications and CERs

What your background should look like:
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or manufacturing - or related discipline - with 5+ years' related experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
Knowledge of Industrial Engineering methods, cost accounting and financial analysis
Strong computer skills with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Statistical software packages
Knowledge of TE Operating Advantage (TEOA), SPC, or Six Sigma - and other improvement techniques
Experience with progressive stamping, injection molding and assembly processes is a strong plus
Project management skills, working under time, budget and resource constraints
Critical thinker with a holistic view of business
Energy and ambition to deal with a wide array of projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required
Creativity to explore new ideas and new technologies to product quality product in a cost-effective manner is essential.

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $101,000 - $151,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
