As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Information Governance and Purview Consultant to join the Softlanding Solutions team.

About the Role

As a Senior Information Governance and Purview Consultant, you will be responsible for demonstrating your ability as a multifaceted leader who will drive innovation in service delivery and strategic client relationships. The ideal candidate is a trusted well-spoken thought leader and operational strategist, and a Microsoft 365 and Azure technical expert and solution architect who can help to grow Softlanding's market presence and ensure client success.

Location: Canada/Vancouver, BC.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

What You Will Do

• Provide strategic leadership for our consulting focus on Information Governance and Microsoft Copilot aligning with company objectives and market trends.
• Coordinate, mentor, and lead virtual teams, ensuring high-performance collaboration.
• Lead and deliver client projects for Information Governance topics, Microsoft Purview, Copilot, and other specializations where applicable.
• Develop professional and managed services offers primarily related to Information Governance, Microsoft Purview, and Copilot that are scalable and productized.
• Identify areas for improvement and automation, collaborating with leaders and consultants across the company.
• Lead and participate in service offer reviews, contributions to RFP responses, writing and delivering Statements of Work (SoWs) including workshops and presentations.
• Expand Softlanding's mindshare by delivering topical workshops, webinars, podcasts, conference sessions, and building relationships with Microsoft and industry communities.
• Create compelling content (videos, blogs, demos), contribute to marketing materials, and be a 'face' of Softlanding.
• Act as a companywide evangelist, participating in cross-business unit events, and building Softlanding's presence within MSP Corp.
• Maintain strong technical expertise in Microsoft technologies and solutions with a specific focus on Information Governance, Microsoft Purview, and Copilot topics and proactively share knowledge with internal teams.
• Keep clients updated with the latest Information Governance, Purview, and Copilot offerings through demos, business reviews, and 'thought leadership' summaries.
• Develop technology roadmaps with Team Leads.
• Assist with pre-sales activities, including scoping calls, supporting sales teams, drafting SoWs, and providing peer reviews.
• Serve as a technical lead and solution architect, especially for large and complex Information Governance and Purview projects within strategic accounts.
• Act as a primary consultant for strategic Professional Services accounts, nurturing relationships with key technical stakeholders and actively identifying opportunities for follow-on work.
• Generate leads within named accounts, contributing to company expansion strategy.

Performance metrics:

• Billable Utilization: Achieve % billable established and reviewed annually with direct supervisor.
• Productization: Quantity of new standardized service offers added to the catalog, speed to create new offerings ready for sale, % billable projects that Account Executives leverage from the product catalog, and revenue generated from productized services.
• Mindshare, Marketing, and Community Engagement: Track webinars, conference talks, blog posts, podcasts, and lead generation from thought leadership or community involvement.
• Pre-sales: Track the number of and total revenue generated from qualified sales opportunities and RFP win rate.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT consulting, including leadership roles.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and delivering successful outcomes.
• Extensive experience working as a solution architect with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Specific advanced and broad experience and expertise delivering Information Governance, Microsoft Purview, and Copilot engagements.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions with Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms with specialization in Microsoft Purview and Copilot.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in governance policies and controls for Artificial Intelligence solutions.
• Microsoft and other industry certifications relevant to individual focus areas such as Purview, Security, Copilot, and Azure.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional client-facing communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Experience in understanding client needs and translating them into actionable solutions.
• Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and provide effective solutions.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to travel on occasion a few times a year.
