Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer takes a lead role in maintaining the IT Infrastructure for Cole Haan. The candidate will primarily be responsible for designing, delivering, supporting, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting all on-premises and public cloud infrastructure/operations systems and have a passion for solving problems and be able to quickly adapt to changes. You must have strong expertise in server administration, server virtualization, storage, backup systems, system availability and disaster recovery. You will provide technical leadership to the operations support and infrastructure teams and work closely with partner teams as needed. The role involves leveraging advanced expertise in enterprise level tools, OS configuration/management, and applying sound security and industry standard practices for system performance, capacity management, issue detection, and incident response. We are looking for an engineer with a focus on customer service.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Virtual server management (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, and AWS)
• Windows and Linux OS management (updates, networking, automation, etc)
• Enterprise DNS and DHCP configuration/management
• Certificate Management
• Linux and Windows patching
• Identity and access management (SAML, OAUTH, AD, LDAP)
• Experience with Cyberark security appliance configuration
• Experience administering Microsoft Office 365 at an enterprise level
• Strong understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Virtual, Public Cloud, automation)
• Working knowledge of data backup, business continuity and disaster recovery procedures and technologies (Dell EMC, Rubrik, Zerto, Azure, AWS)
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting remote access VDI services (Citrix, VMware)
• Creation and maintenance of automated operational processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
• Monitors and resolve system performance issues, identifies and corrects application software problems
• Administrate and maintain Windows Server, Linux Server, and Active Directory
• Anticipates future technology needs with regards to systems environment. Recommends procedural and workflow changes
• Participates in system integration, product development and ongoing maintenance
• Utilize scripting languages to automate and customize logging and monitoring workflows, enhancing efficiency and accuracy
• ITIL Service Automation and tool management
• Maintain up to date and accurate documentation for the infrastructure.
• Assist with non-position-specific tasks (end user support, application support, etc.)
• Technical SME operating system management technologies
• Lifecycle Management of all infrastructure and end user systems
• Ability to provide on-call 24/7 support if needed

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science, Business, or related area) or equivalent education, training and related discipline required
• 10+ years progressive IT experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in the following areas:
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware)
  • Windows and Linux Server systems
  • Infrastructure Automation
  • Windows and Linux Server systems
  • Backup and Storage technologies (BC/DR)
• 3+ years of relevant public cloud experience (Azure or AWS)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams
• Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker
• Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications
