Orica Digital Solutions & 3vGeomatics are hiring a Senior InSAR Analyst for our Vancouver team.
This position will bring five or more years of InSAR experience, including experience with processing methods, the use of advanced algorithms, and a variety of InSAR applications. Strong communication skills are also an important asset, as the role includes client-facing support, project management, and proposal writing. The successful candidate will have managed several InSAR projects from kick-off through to renewal.
What is InSAR?
Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar is a remote sensing technique that uses radar images to measure changes in deformation of the Earth's surface, enabling scientists to monitor ground movements and other phenomena.

Education: InSAR-related university degree, and a background in an Earth science, physics or engineering.

What you will be doing
- Managing large and/or challenging InSAR projects for a diverse set of applications
- Process and analyze InSAR datasets for diverse monitoring projects
- Provide support to clients remotely and in person
- Support business development through proposals, preparing and leading demonstrations and meeting with clients
- Support and mentor junior InSAR Analysts
- Drive forward 3vG's InSAR monitoring capabilities
What you will bring
Successful candidates will join a focused technical team and will have most of the following skills:
- Broad experience processing and analyzing InSAR data.
- Understand a number of different InSAR processing methods.
- Understand the various InSAR signals and their sources, including how they are modelled, filtered or preserved.
- Proficiency using the Linux command line for interacting with servers and processing InSAR
- Experience educating and communicating with clients (written, visual and verbal)
- Proficiency in manipulating GIS data and using GIS platforms
- Experience with image processing techniques unrelated to InSAR
- Scripting experience with Python or a Linux shell language
Knowledge of the following is also desirable and considered a bonus:
- Geotechnical knowledge, especially mining related
- Surveying and geodesy experience
- Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills
- High-Performance Computing experience
Role Dimensions
- This is a full-time, permanent position.
- Work Schedule - Monday through Friday, 3 days in office / 2 days remote.
- Work Schedule Adjustment - One in every six weekends in exchange for time in lieu.

Compensation
- Full Time Salaried position
- Salary Range $88,000-$99,000 CAD
- Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
