The Senior IT Architect is responsible for providing architecture and technical leadership to business units. Working closely with the IT leadership team and business stakeholders to design and develop strategic IT roadmaps, providing technical oversight in managing third party vendors to adhere to previously developed and approved architectural solutions, driving innovation, developing, and reviewing domain level architectures. The Senior IT Architect is responsible for IT innovation and promotion of new technologies and ensures enterprise architectural standards and best practices are followed.
Designs solutions by applying enterprise standards, frameworks and reference architectures.
Plays key role in evaluation and selection of technology for solving particular technical needs.
Communicates complex topics regarding solution that will meet business stakeholders project needs.
Adheres and applies best practices, processes and standards set by the Enterprise Architecture group.
Works with Solution Engineers and Managed Service Provider ("MSP") teams to analyze and document non-functional requirements and ensures implementation, and ensure technology solutions are implemented adhering to proposed solution architecture as expected and to agreed timeframes.
Identifies system, infrastructure and project interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure architecture deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
Ensures the strategic alignment of IT architecture (functional, application, data, and integration architecture) to meet business outcomes.
Advises on and validates architecture deliverables to suit target audience.
Works with stakeholders to gain alignment and set a common technical direction for achieving business outcomes.
Drives a fit for purpose solution architecture aligned with enterprise architecture principles, policies and design.
Prepares and presents project documentation for the architecture review board.
Evaluates design approaches, makes architectural recommendations, and implements improvements to testing strategies.
Bachelor's Degree with typically more than 10 years of related experience with advanced degree in area of specialization, preferred.
