Outerknown is seeking to find a Senior IT Manager to drive the company's IT function to deliver fit for purpose end user technology, infrastructure solutions and support service foundations to Outerknown and Slater Holding Group Brands' IT strategy. This includes:

  • IT MSP (Managed Services Provider) Management
  • Infrastructure; Hardware Management
  • Software (Core Applications, New development and Projects)
  • Telecommunications
  • Operations (Service Delivery & Helpdesk Support)
  • Retail Store Tech Infrastructure and Support
  • Security & Governance


The Senior IT Manager is responsible for accurately identifying and assessing technology needs, forecasting changes in systems and applications, and pro-actively aligning the company's technology strategy with the company's goals, objectives, brand values and strategic mission.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountability: Information Systems & Service Delivery
  • Ensure IT service delivery support standards of excellence are met and that all services are delivered according to established service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ensure the efficiency and security of the existing systems, equipment and communications
  • Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
  • Provide users with the tools and information required to achieve their business objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate user manuals and training are in place and available.
  • Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
  • Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company where appropriate in alignment with the company's IT strategy.
  • Establish and implement short and long-range IT goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to ensure companywide adoption.


Accountability: Cost Management
  • Manage information technology budget and service provider costs (CAPEX and OPEX). This includes hardware and software maintenance, consulting, telecommunications, printing and capital costs.
  • Ensure that clear budget recommendations are made in a timely manner in line with group requirements.
  • Pro-actively identify initiatives to actively reduce costs.


Accountability: Infrastructure Management and Software Compliance
  • Manage the company's information technology infrastructure to ensure maximum reliability and minimal down-time.
  • Ensure appropriate and practical disaster recovery plans are in place for all IT infrastructure.
  • Manage service providers for maintenance and development of all IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure appropriate systems are in place to ensure software compliance.


Accountability: IT Security and Governance
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all information technology including data accessibility and user management.
  • Maintain awareness of IT security threats and ensure systems are robust (and vulnerabilities known) and the correct tools are in place to manage risk.
  • Produce and maintain all relevant documentation (policy, procedures, work instructions, etc.) to ensure IT governance, manage risk and drive the delivery of value.


Accountability: Retail Store Infrastructure and Support
  • Support new and existing retail stores and retail events.
  • Manage store WAN's, LAN's and WIFI's, equipment used, switches, patch panels, etc.
  • Knowledge of Shopify POS, ADT, and ShopperTrack or similar where support on use of the systems has been provided to the end users in store.
  • First line support resolving technical issues and providing system guidance to the store team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in planning and managing financial budgets.
  • Exemplary communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency
  • Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
  • Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
