The Senior Key Account Manager (Sr. KAM) is responsible for managing and deepening strategic relationships with high-impact key accounts, including the leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Abarca, the leading health plan Triple S, and the key specialty pharmacy Alivia. This role requires advanced negotiation skills, strategic oversight, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, driving revenue growth and delivering tailored solutions.

- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, ensuring J&J's strategic interests are well represented.
- Implement relationship management frameworks to track engagement, satisfaction, and opportunities for deeper collaboration.
- Lead complex negotiations with strategic accounts, leveraging a deep understanding of company objectives and market dynamics to drive favorable outcomes.
- Prepare and present business cases to internal leadership prior to negotiations, ensuring alignment on strategy and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis, evaluating competitor strategies, payer trends, and health policy changes to anticipate industry shifts and inform strategic planning.
- Share findings with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the competitiveness of J&J's offerings.
- Facilitate collaboration between sales, marketing, regulatory, and medical affairs teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution across all customer touchpoints.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to implement innovative solutions or programs tailored to specific key accounts.
- Develop and track KPIs that measure account performance, preparing detailed reports and hosting reviews to highlight successes and areas for improvement.
- Utilize performance data to make informed recommendations for adjustments to account strategies, ensuring ongoing alignment with corporate goals.
- Act as the primary client advocate, ensuring that their needs and feedback are communicated across the organization and addressed strategically.
- Establish regular touchpoints with key accounts to solicit feedback and provide updates on product developments and support services.
- Facilitate training sessions on best practices in account management and market access strategies.
- Conduct periodic reviews of account strategies and initiatives to assess performance and recommend refinements based on market shifts and emerging opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in account management, sales, or market access, with a track record of managing high-stakes accounts in the healthcare industry.
- Proven expertise in strategic negotiation and contract management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, analytics, and customer needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
- Valid Puerto Rico driver's license and clean driving record. Must comply with J&J Fleet Management Policy and requirements.
