The Senior Laravel Developer will lead the backend development of our custom applications and enterprise web platform. This role is focused on building scalable software systems using Laravel, architecting backend services, and integrating third-party platforms including ecommerce, learning management systems, and CRM tools. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, maintainable code in a collaborative environment.

The Senior Laravel Developer will lead the backend development of our custom applications and enterprise web platform. This role is focused on building scalable software systems using Laravel, architecting backend services, and integrating third-party platforms including ecommerce, learning management systems, and CRM tools. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, maintainable code in a collaborative environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain backend features for our custom Laravel-based multi-tenant platform that powers ecommerce, content delivery, and learning management.
- Design and implement robust APIs and data integrations with third-party services such as payment gateways, registration systems, LMSs, and CRMs.
- Write clean, testable, and scalable PHP code using modern Laravel practices and tools.
- Contribute to and help evolve our system architecture, DevOps pipeline, and development best practices.
- Manage version control, code reviews, and production deployments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business requirements and deliver high-impact technical solutions.
- Implement secure authentication, role-based access control, and data protection strategies.
- Monitor performance and optimize backend systems for speed and scalability.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of backend software development experience, with 3+ years using Laravel in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of modern PHP development, including Laravel service containers, queues, events, policies, and testing (PHPUnit or Pest).
- Experience building and scaling ecommerce platforms (experience with Authorize.net, Stripe, or other payment gateways a plus).
- Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures, job queues, background processing, and caching strategies.
- Working knowledge of MySQL (or similar relational databases) and database schema design.
- Proficient in writing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
- Comfortable with Git-based workflows and CI/CD deployment practices.
- Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) or other cloud infrastructure providers.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with learning management systems (e.g., xAPI, SCORM, Articulate, or Moodle integrations).
- Familiarity with React or Vue for frontend integration and API consumption.
