We are seeking a Senior Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Developer to design, develop, and implement LIMS solutions that optimize laboratory operations and data management. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop custom solutions, and ensure the LIMS system effectively supports laboratory workflows. You will also lead projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvements in LIMS functionalities.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified LIMS Professional) is preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in LIMS development or similar roles, with expertise in designing and implementing LIMS solutions.
- Experience with LIMS platforms such as SAPIO (preferred), LabWare, STARLIMS, or LabVantage.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and data management requirements.
- Project management experience and leading technical teams are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- LIMS Development & Customization: Design, develop, and tailor LIMS solutions to meet laboratory needs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory personnel to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- System Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between LIMS and other systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, data analysis tools).
- Project Leadership: Lead LIMS implementation projects, including configuration, data migration, and user training.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability and performance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain LIMS documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for data integrity, security, and quality.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and recommend enhancements to LIMS functionalities for better system performance and user experience.
- User Training: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure effective system utilization.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with IT teams, laboratory staff, and vendors to ensure seamless system integration and data flow.
