Summary:

The Senior Manager of 3rd Party Procurement will fill a key role within the Global Procurement Management organization. This position will have primary responsibility for developing supplier relationships to fill the need presented by planning for devices and accessories. This position will ensure the prescribed procurement related KPIs are met, which are but not limited to delivery, quality, cost and overall business performance. Key objectives include development of strategic and tactical solutions to optimize the supply chain and drive performance to support business impacting processes, metrics and service level agreements. The ability to build and maintain relationships and thrive in a cross-matrix team environment is critical to the success of this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the sourcing strategy for area of 3rd party device and accessory procurement
  • Lead by example; set credibility and relationship building standards
  • Develop relationships leveraging industry experience and knowledge on current supplier landscape
  • Coach team to actively identify opportunities and deliver outcomes
  • Leads a procurement team that is responsible for best-in-class performance and is managed utilizing industry recognized supplier management tools, which are but not limited to business compliance requirements, balanced scorecards, daily or weekly communications, MBRs, QBRs and implementation of supplier qualification & disqualification procedures as required
  • Expected to drive cost savings
  • Challenge status quo and proactively drive for profitability optimization by establishing creative outside the box solutions
  • Create forums where diverse viewpoints are sought and valued
  • Lead internal and external discussions on key initiatives and/or sourcing strategy involving holding internal stakeholders accountable and navigating ambiguous scenarios.
  • Establish and sustain strong customer relationship management through effective communication and support for all internal customers
  • Acts as the point of accountability for escalation and arbitration for supplier related issues
  • Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships with external suppliers.
  • Gains understanding of each supplier's internal supply chain processes and uses this information to benefit the overall Asurion supply chain
  • Serve as industry expert in functional area of responsibility and maintain market intelligence
  • Manage weekly and monthly data to monitor supplier performance, identify cost reduction opportunities, and create competition. Works hand in hand with internal teams to ensure suppliers are performing and kept cost competitive
  • Operational activities of supplier management include communicating and resolving daily issues between internal organizations and supplier, leading weekly cross-functional team calls to cover open issues, actively working/monitoring quality and performance issues
  • Must be able to build strong internal relationships and be able work collectively/collaboratively across the organization
  • Responsible for improving procurement and other internal processes to support operational efficiencies


Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of US secondary markets and product flow from OEM's and Carriers
  • Existing relationships for device procurement
  • Model integrity First guidelines
  • Have strong business acumen, keen eye for detail, and ability to fulfill set expectations
  • BS/BA Degree and Minimum 5 years in wireless supply chain
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Superior relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and manage direct reports
  • Strong negotiating skills and analytical skills required
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN area
