Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Accounting supports the Sales function across our North America region. The Senior Manager manages and directs the accounting operations, financial and management reporting, governance and compliance, and personnel activities for specified entities within North America. Responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, optimizing internal controls and related compliance, supporting North America Finance and Accounting ("NAFA") strategic initiatives and finance transformation efforts, and people management. Ensures short-term and long-term activities align with overall NAFA goals and objectives ("G&Os") as well as Company vision.
The Senior Manager reports directly to the Director of Accounting.

The Senior Manager reports directly to the Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities
Accounting, Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS/US GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting, and variance analyses, and present to local and regional management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, internal controls, and applicable external regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to regional parent and global companies, adhering to corporate guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Lead external and internal audits, including managing auditor relationships and providing supporting documentation.
- To the extent not centralized within NAFA Shared Services or otherwise, oversee general ledger, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and local tax support.
- Develop, maintain, and implement necessary changes to accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Leadership and Talent Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop team members. Assist in developing individual team member G&Os.
- Collaborate with global/regional accounting teams to drive standardization and best practices.
- Act as a key liaison between Accounting and other departments, ensuring strong communication and alignment.
- Navigate areas of ambiguity and uncertainty, taking a hands-on approach to resolve (or assist teams in resolving) issues as they arise.
Strategic and Cross-Functional Support
- Develop and lead short-term and long-term project activities to meet NAFA G&Os.
- Act as the operational lead for systems and finance transformation initiatives in collaboration with IT and Digital Transformation teams.
- Partner with Business Planning, Corporate Planning & Development, Tax, and Treasury functions to forecast and analyze financial performance, and provide insights for decision making.
- Support ad-hoc projects as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, including related policies and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers
- Proficiency in ERP/financial systems, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills to resolve difficult or complicated situations
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently
- Leadership, people and team management skills
- Ability to develop and maintain team and individual G&Os.
Salary $160,000-$175,000.
