Overview:

Remington's Law Department services the Company's lodging and hospitality business and provides legal advice and counsel to Remington's internal clients. This Senior Manager, Contracts and Litigation position will primarily provide Operations Field support on behalf of the Law Department. The role will serve as a critical point of contact for hotel managers in the United States and CALA seeking legal assistance. This role will also be responsible for negotiating contracts with third party vendors and resolving guest issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to the attorneys and assist others on the team in performing their duties and responsibilities.
  • Respond to inquiries from General Managers and corporate stakeholders related to hotel-level and above-property contracts with vendors and other service providers.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts including groups sales agreements, crew accommodation agreements, OTA agreements etc.
  • Provide support to hotels needing assistance in registering their hotels to bid and accept U.S. government business.
  • Provide entity formation and entity management support.
  • Provide guidance to clients on vendor disputes and guest issues.
  • Conduct and summarize legal research as requested.
  • Draft and respond to legal correspondence and memoranda.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Two-year college degree
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required.
  • Hospitality experience required.
  • Spanish speaking skills is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to meet simultaneous deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively, specifically
  • Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise manner in both writing and verbally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interact effectively and develop positive, professional working relationships with clients as well as team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with database functionality and operation
  • Ability to travel as needed
