Senior Manager, Core Applications

The Senior Manager, Core Applications is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization's ERP/WMS ecosystem. This leader will ensure alignment with business objectives, drive operational excellence, and champion ITIL and ITSM best practices. The individual will lead a team of application specialists and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of enterprise applications. This role will also be key in assisting the organization in transitioning from an on-premises solution to a fully cloud-hosted solution and partnering with the vendor to provide services to the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• ERP/WMS Management:

• Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System) platforms.
• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance to meet business needs.

• Cloud Transition Leadership:

• Lead the transition from on-premises systems to a fully cloud-hosted ERP/WMS solution.
• Partner with vendors to design, implement, and support cloud-based services for the enterprise.
• Develop strategies and roadmaps to ensure a seamless migration with minimal disruption to business operations.

• ITIL & ITSM Leadership:

• Serve as a champion for ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and ITSM (IT Service Management) best practices.
• Establish and maintain processes for incident management, problem management, change management, and service request fulfillment.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team and across the organization.

• Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of application specialists and analysts, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team success.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with key business stakeholders to align application strategies with organizational goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalations related to core applications.
• Facilitate training and knowledge sharing to promote user adoption and maximize system utilization.

• Project Management:

• Lead or support application-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Coordinate with vendors and external partners for system implementations, upgrades, and support services.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, project plans, and post-implementation reviews.

• Compliance & Security:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements related to enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to safeguard application environments against threats.

• Budget Management:

• Manage the budget for core applications, including licensing, maintenance, and development costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining high levels of service quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in IT application management, including ERP and WMS systems.
• Proven experience with ITIL/ITSM frameworks and practices.
• Strong understanding of ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Manhattan Associates, etc.).
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project management experience, including familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITIL v4 Certification.
• Experience with cloud-based ERP/WMS solutions.
• Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques.
• Experience with Halo (ITSM tool).
