Senior Manager, Data Science. Schwan's Shared Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Schwan's Company seeks a Senior Manager, Data Science in Marshall, Minnesota.
Responsible for the implementation of data driven and data related solutions as specified in the IT project portfolio. Responsible for development and execution of the strategic direction of data science and its application within the company. Guide the development of data driven solutions with a focus on quality, budget and schedule, as well as application performance and long-term maintainability. Collaborate with the enterprise architecture and other IT leaders to establish long-term plans for data science and its application. Collaborate closely with business team members to analyze the business and derive data driven/data science solutions to create value from data. In coordination with the Program Management Office, supply personnel to staff projects, including the procurement of contract resources as appropriate. Lead the continuous improvement effort within the assigned application areas. Oversee run projects to improve and maintain systems. Evaluate and recommend solutions for complex business, system, and data opportunities. Understand business processes and objectives around the use of data with the capability of facilitating re-engineering options. Stay abreast of industry solutions, technology options and best practices, evaluate for relevance with the company, and recommend appropriate changes in support of the business and IT strategy. Mentor, coach, and train staff as applicable. Responsible for the skills and knowledge of the technical staff in assigned areas. Other duties, as assigned. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Requirements - Education - Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Management Science and Economics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Services or other closely related degree. Experience - At least 6 years of experience in data science or business intelligence positions, including Analytics Consultant, Senior Analytics Consultant, Senior Manager Data Science, BI Analyst or similar position, involving the design of data-driven decision-making analytical models using databases and custom-designed software code or tools to identify key data relationships. This telecommuting work may be performed remotely from home office or other unanticipated locations anywhere in the U.S., including its headquarters in Marshall, Minnesota. Domestic travel of 5% or less. The salary for this position has a range of $148,179 to $160,618, with standard employee benefits. Interested candidates should apply on-line at www.schwansjobs.com. Project management skills preferred.
