The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager is to oversee all endpoint devices within the organization, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, AV systems, and tablets. This role operates under the strategic direction of the Managing Director of the Information Technology Group and is accountable for developing and implementing strategies and procedures for user endpoints.
Key responsibilities include leading the workstation, persistent virtual desktop, mobility, audio-visual, and application administration teams. The position entails continuous monitoring of endpoint health and performance, generating reports to evaluate effectiveness, and formulating cohesive endpoint management strategies. Additionally, the Sr Manager is tasked with developing and enforcing IT policies regarding endpoint usage, security, and compliance.
Collaboration is essential, as this role coordinates with various teams within ITG and Corporate Technology, as well as corporate functions such as Internal Audit, Corporate Communications, and Enterprise Risk Management, to enhance and mature endpoint practices at HDR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direction, recommendations and guidance in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining endpoint devices to ensure they are secure, updated, and functioning properly.
Coordinates the implementation of security measures like antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption to protect devices from threats and vulnerabilities.
Plays a crucial role in maintaining the security, efficiency, and effectiveness of IT endpoint
Managing the installation and updates of software applications across all endpoints to ensure compliance and efficiency
Ensuring that all devices are configured correctly according to organizational policies and standards.
Providing oversight for the technical support and assistance to users regarding their endpoint device
Developing and enforcing IT policies related to endpoint usage, security, and compliance
Provide effective leadership to the overall endpoint management organization
Participate and actively contribute to ITG operational success through collaboration and coordination with other ITG department
Communicate ITG vision and strategy to the IT endpoint management and their staff
Develop and maintain the endpoint management organization budget
Other Tasks and Duties

Directs staff to achieve business objective
Completes performance review
Annual and other periodic objective review
Recognition and discipline as needed and appropriate
Appropriate participation in industry organization

Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Several years of experience in IT management, with a focus on endpoint management, system administration, or IT support.
Knowledge of endpoint security practices, including antivirus, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
