Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced senior Geophysicist to evolve, enhance and grow the relationship with a diverse customer base across our Seismic Monitoring Services portfolio. Nanometrics strives to be a one stop shop for all services related to seismology and as such this leader would need experience or the ability to grow in all relevant industries.

The position entails knowledge and application of Nanometrics best-in-class seismic monitoring

processing, and how these services enable the operational, compliance and business needs of our customers. Proactive thinking and a sense of passion and urgency towards customer experience are key attributes.

Job Duties
  • Developing and implementing customer experience strategies and initiatives
  • Analyzing customer feedback and data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring consistent and positive customer interactions across all touchpoints
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Monitoring customer metrics and reporting on CX performance
  • Develop and lead initiatives to create long term relationships with clients by managing and interpreting their requirements; speaking with clients to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs
  • Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively. Define standardized communication strategy
  • Define easily interpretable packages for seismic data products which ensure customer relevancy and ease the pathway to compliance.
  • Provide contextualization for seismic data as applies to specific industry verticals (i.e. oil and gas, mining, critical infrastructure, new energies, etc)

Requirements
  • BSc in Geophysics, Seismology, Physics or Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a professional geoscientist in the oil & gas, mining or related
  • industry
  • Must have the technical ability to explain product functions and have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability able to develop relationships with clients and customers, responding promptly and appropriately
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong client-facing, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of markets and trends, competitive landscape, industry product offerings and customer challenges
  • Technical sales, or business development experience

Assets
  • Prior experience working with seismic data products either as a service provider or customer
  • Prior experience with real-time local or regional seismic network data acquisition, management and analysis
  • Prior experience with management and processing of surface microseismic data sets
  • Prior experience with seismic data processing techniques including but not limited to: double difference relocation, velocity model building, STA/LTA triggering, template matching, beamforming, noise-reduction filtering, event magnitude computation, focal
  • mechanism/moment tensor inversion and stress field inversion Msc in Geophysics, Seismology, Physics or Engineering
