Purpose: Responsible for leading the U.S. HR Operations team in the timely execution and delivery of the following functional areas: Hire & Onboarding, HR Data Management (end-to-end lifecycle), Employee Services and employee inquiries via all channels. This includes answering escalated inquiries and ensuring that all activities are executed in line with standard procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Senior Manager, HR Operations will also be responsible for U.S. Immigration, overseeing the U.S. Contingent Worker population, supporting large project-based requests such as acquisitions, divestitures, reorganization, etc. and will build strategic relationships to better influence partners, vendors, and requestors. This role is responsible to drive forward enhancements and delivers impactful changes to continuously improve the overall employee experience. Collaborates across multiple stakeholder groups both within and outside HR to drive strategic initiatives forward.

What You'll Do
  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, processes and knowledge.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to teams and ensures the processing and delivery of employee data, onboarding, offboarding, immigration and Contingent Workforce management changes are completed in alignment with standard processes and policies.
  • Coaches team members on complex employee inquiries, resolves escalated inquiries, and provides coverage for overflow work when required.
  • Accountable for the overall end-to-end employee experience ensuring all interactions with the HR Operations team meets region's requirements. This includes creating enhancements and efficiencies to existing processes with goal of continuously improving the employee experience.
  • Develops and holds self and team accountable to meet objectives aligned to unit's goals and KPIs, prioritizing workload and re-aligning resources as required to optimize results and throughput.
  • Tracks and reports on volume and activity completed by the team through regular and established reporting, commenting on variances in performance and uses the information to identify process or operational gaps/issues/trends.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on U.S. processes, regulatory requirements, and controls, representing the team on all projects and initiatives, providing perspective on how to enhance the employee experience and propose improvements to systems and processes.
  • Participates with both local and global stakeholders in identifying and initiating new projects, business systems, product designs, and procedures. Responsible to be the U.S. HR Ops lead in the delivery of global initiatives within the region.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, and consults with peers, manager, others on the U.S. HR team, and global COEs in developing practical solutions.
  • Manages and maintains select U.S. HR Operations third party vendors, ensuring compliance with Third Party Risk Management, Security, and Privacy
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.


What You'll Bring
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or related field
  • Relevant experience in resolving customer service requests
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of organizational structure and complexity
  • Experience coaching and leading a large team
  • Knowledge of end-to-end processes and downstream implications of HR transactions
  • Knowledge of U.S. Immigration
  • Experience with project management and change management related to leading large initiatives
  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable operating in global organization
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
