About The Role

We are seeking a technically skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Integration and Test (I&T) to lead our organization's system integration and system-level testing efforts across all programs. This individual will not only lead and mentor the team but will also bring deep hands-on technical expertise in both integration engineering and test engineering-actively contributing to technical execution during key integration and test events.

This role requires a strong engineering foundation with the ability to architect integration sequences, develop comprehensive test strategies, resolve system-level issues, and ensure verification and validation activities meet program requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for system integration and system-level testing, including planning, execution, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Serve as the technical lead for integration and test engineering-contributing to the design and execution of integration and test activities, especially during critical milestones.
• Manage and oversee system integration activities across hardware, software, and subsystems-ensuring design maturity and readiness before full system integration.
• Lead system test events, including formal verification and validation, regression testing, and performance evaluation. Manage customer and facility personnel relationships and involvement at onsite and offsite test events.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for test failures and integration challenges.
• Manage lab infrastructure, including test benches lab networks, hardware-in-the-loop setups development, production, and emulated hardware and software, and tools for automated testing and data acquisition.
• Collaborate closely with Systems, Software, Hardware, Cybersecurity, and Project Engineering to ensure integration and test efforts align with program and technical objectives.
• Guide development and implementation of automated test capabilities and data analysis tools to support efficient and repeatable test execution.
• Ensure delivery of test artifacts and results that support technical reviews, customer deliverables, and system certification.
• Develop and implement standardized I&T processes, test strategies, and documentation (integration plans, test plans, test procedures, and test reports).
• Mentor and grow the I&T team, fostering both technical depth and leadership development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in system integration and test engineering, with a proven record of leading technical teams.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or management role with direct responsibility for integration or test activities.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems, basic networking, debugging tools, and software version control.
• Strong understanding of system engineering lifecycle, integration methodologies, and verification/validation processes.
• Experience with both hardware and software integration, system-level testing, and test automation.
• Proficient in test equipment usage, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and data analysis for test evaluation and reporting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a technical field or Engineering Management.
• Background in defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries. Aerospace, automotive, or technology industries and experience with industry and government standards.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), test management tools, and CI/CD frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, LabVIEW, Multisim, RACKtangle).
• Experience with test planning for qualification functional, environmental, or performance testing under MIL-STD or equivalent in accordance with industrial, automotive, space, or defense standards.
• Active Secret or higher-level clearance preferred.
