The Senior Manager, Strategic Projects is responsible for leading projects and driving initiatives that support the Super Market Division's long-term strategic plan. This dynamic and challenging role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of Divisional projects. Successful candidates will work directly with executive sponsors, and collaborate with teams across different levels within the Super Market Division and the broader enterprise.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead various projects through all stages of the project life cycle.
  • Work alongside the Strategy team to build plans supporting the rollout of key business initiatives, including creation of project plans, roadmaps, and identification of milestones and risks.
  • Manage project workstreams and working teams to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget .
  • Organize and effectively facilitate project meetings to maintain accountability with working teams.
  • Actively engage key stakeholders and executive sponsors throughout project for regular updates and alignment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder including Category Directors, Merchants, District Managers, Store Managers, Enterprise Support Teams, and other colleagues as required.
  • Work with stakeholders to prepare presentation content for executive meetings.
  • Be a thought partner and provide subject matter expertise in planning, prioritization and management of the project portfolio.
  • Foster and contribute to a work environment that is collaborative and values transparency and curiosity.
  • Follow appropriate compliance, risk management & governance in the execution of all activities.


Role Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years work experience required: retail, operations, merchandising, or consulting experience strongly preferred. Franchise and/or corporate store operations experience are an asset.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience/formal training in business management or operations.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, including ability to develop relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and ambiguous environment.
  • Independent problem solving, critical thinking, and resourcefulness, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and facilitate large group / cross-functional meetings.
  • Ability to proactively manage stakeholders & working teams, and move forward quickly and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines involving multi-functional teams.
