Seeking for a high-energy Senior Manager for Operations. This is an onsite role located at our Camden, NJ facility. The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for strategic and daily execution of the manufacturing function and will report to the Director of Operations. The Sr. Operations Manager need a broad depth of knowledge in the manufacturing of Defense products that include Cable Harnesses, Automated Circuit Card Assembly, Cabinet and Console Assembly of complex Military equipment.
Essential Duties:
Provide support to several different projects by managing the Manufacturing team's resources.
Managing the Manufacturing function including Shop Operations and Production Control at the Camden, NJ facility while working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Material Planning and Inventory Management.
Ensure the integrity of company work products. This will include creating, maintaining, following, and enforcing quality and safety processes at the company's Camden, NJ.
Develop a world-class Manufacturing team through staffing, training, and talent management initiatives while serving as a role model for integrity, inclusion, and diversity.
Lead multi-disciplinary operation in production including Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Shop Operations and Production Control.
Manage experienced professionals, lower-level supervisors, and managers.
Collaboratively work with other functions that are not direct reports, but critical to daily operations.
Develop and implement strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, EH&S, and continuous improvement commitments.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
Drive employee engagement through:
Leader standard work
Factory Gemba walk process
Quality improvements and zero-defect strategies
Comprehensive, proactive safety initiatives
Lean deployment
Mistake Proofing / Poka Yoke

Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
Maintain responsibility for succession planning, organization and talent development.
Facilitate Manufacturing participation in design development to identify and address manufacturability, production and testability issues.
Collaborate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Material Management, Material Planning and other functional organizations across Camden, NJ.
Lead the organization to develop and implement operating philosophies and business strategies.
Develop, implement and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
Experience with (or understanding of) Earned Value Management (EVM) and its principles.
Experience in Material Planning and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Experience with Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning (SIOP)
Managing production programs involving the build, integration and test of electronic and/or electromechanical systems.
Developing proposal inputs.
Fundamental knowledge in EH&S to drive zero injury plans with a proactive approach.
Leading a cross functional team and/or previous supervisory experience.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Usage of SAP / S4Hana.
Implementing a metric driven approach across all Operations functions.
Strong interpersonal skills and mentoring ability
Effective communication throughout all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of prior DoD Operations Management experience; including knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methods, lean methodology, production planning, quality management systems.
OR Graduate Degree and 10 years of prior DoD Operations Management experience; including knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methods, lean methodology, production planning, quality management systems.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior DoD Operations Management experience; including knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methods, lean methodology, production planning, quality management systems.
Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean & Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Skills and Certifications:
MUST have manufacturing/production experience in a DoD Environment
Active Secret clearance at the time of hire (Highly Preferred)
30% travel domestic and international - MUST
