This role involves understanding customer payment processing technology, managing vendor relationships, collaborating with internal business partners, supporting acquisition integration, identifying new payment technologies, and managing payment processing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchant Processing Management: Oversee the company's day-to-day merchant processing activity, vendor relationship management, and business operational needs. Identify opportunities for process improvement, vendor consolidation, and cost reduction.
- Customer Payments: Manage customer payment platforms (EFT, credit, debit, and other electronic payment methods), identify opportunities for new technologies to drive improved customer payments and streamlined processes.
- Acquisition Integration: Support the company's active acquisition strategy by planning for and ensuring integration of merchant processing and payment infrastructures of acquisitions into the company's broader portfolio.
- Cross-Functional Project Management: Partner with IT, operations, accounting, and other internal business partners to lead payments projects and enhancements.
- Cost Management: Oversee management of interchange and bankcard acceptance costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Compliance: Ensure electronic payment processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with electronic payment processing.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on payment activities, performance metrics, cost management, and future opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor direct report(s).

Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience, including experience in payment processing, credit services, or banking.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of payment systems and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function as a positive change agent, to take charge, and to influence others
Physical Demands / Working Environment:
- We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks. Candidates must have the ability to perform the requirements of the job with or without accommodations. No travel required.
- Must reside in the metro Atlanta area and be able to commute to the corporate office daily.
