The Senior Manager, Planning (Potash) is responsible and accountable for the planning and execution effectiveness of balancing demand and supply, as well as, achieving inventory targets across all regions for phosphates products. This role will report to the VP of Supply Chain and will operate at a senior level of the supply planning and execution team, driving the decision-making process in line with the business priorities. The Senior Planning Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders within Product Management, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to develop and implement effective supply plans. The Senior Planning Manager will play a key leadership role in the IBP/S&OP process and will be accountable for the "Plan to Ship" process across the Potash Business. The Senior Planning Manager is accountable for optimizing Service, Cost and Inventory, as well as, ensuring that the operational planning and execution is in alignment to the supply chain strategy and policies. This role will support the Supply Planning Manager to develop and streamline the regional and plant level S&OP's and ensure connectivity to the upstream and downstream parts of the process. The Senior Planning Manager will also provide support to Commercial and Operations on business growth, capacity assessment, inventory requirements and opportunities for improved profitability and cost control. This individual will play a leadership role on the behalf of the supply planning team and will drive alignment with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Product Management, Operations, Transportation, Warehousing, Analytics and Finance.

Supply Planning:
- Lead, mentor and motivate a team of Logistics and Supply planners, replenishment planners and logistics and distribution planners
- Responsible for managing the Plan-to-Ship process of supply chain orchestration
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of service, inventory and cost metrics for the Plan-to-Ship process
- Lead the Phosphates Supply and Integrated Reviews of S&OP Process
- Ensure the delivery of Tactical S&OP reviews and Available to Supply on a weekly basis
- Ensure the team has a clear understanding for their roles & responsibilities within the S&OP planning and execution process.
- Hold managers and planners accountable for their deliveries of supply planning and execution
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize the S&OP plan
- Address trade-offs and proactively identify risks and lead risk mitigation
- Manage the production requirements and transportation requirements in collaboration with operations and transportation to ensure that customer requirements and inventory targets are met
- Ensure creation of Supply and Integrated review minutes and communicate key conclusion to stakeholders and perform follow up of the actions

- Collaborate with cross functional team and support Supply Chain Leadership in the development of the Annual Operating Plan
- Collaborate with the key stakeholders to continuously improve the supply planning and execution effectives

- Responsible to maintain group awareness and engagement in the process to ensure that decisions are taken timely and within the process.
- Identify talent competencies and gaps and lead the development of planning-related training priorities for the team

What do you need for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years cumulative experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Customer Service, or Supply Chain consulting required.
- Experience in leading S&OP and supply chain operations (demand/supply/production planning, inventory, warehousing and transportation) required.
- Experience in building a strong team atmosphere and foster collaboration across the supply planning team required.
- Experience managing complex business initiatives utilizing solid project management practices and leadership skills required.
- Experience with translating commercial requirements into Operational actions including of trade-off analysis required.
- Experience working in a global environment, ability to liaise/communicate effectively at different management levels required.
- Experience with information systems supporting Plan-to-Ship business processes required.
- Experience with data diagnostics, discovery, modeling, and visualization preferred.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives and manage projects and teams to stay on task and deliver results on time and within budget preferred.
- APICS, Lean Six-Sigma preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- SAP-ERP, SAP-IBP and Business Objects preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management and supply chain best practices required.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of end-to-end supply chain business processes (Integrated Business Planning, tactical S&OP, Logistics Planning, Production Planning, JIT, replenishment processes, inventory and distribution processes, etc.) required.
- Strong finance acumen with experience conducting financial impact assessment required.
- Ability to develop insightful strategies based on knowledge of external and internal operating environments required.
- Ability to analyze abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables required.
- Ability to develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis required.
- Demonstrated success in Operational Excellence and major change management initiatives required.
