The Reliability Engineer Manager leads a team whose charter is to plan and execute stress test plans to de-risk or validate new product designs and technology platforms. The Reliability Engineering Manager will oversee work on various reliability issues including, testing plans which may include intrinsic reliability characterizations, new package robustness evaluations, or advanced look ahead studies to precipitate new mechanisms. Qualification plans for new or re-designed products, processes and packages that were developed by the reliability engineering team will be reviewed and approved by the manager. The Reliability Engineer Manager will also supervise and assist in the root cause analysis of qualification failures to drive appropriate corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods. In addition, the Reliability Engineer Manager will direct sustaining support for current products which may include risk assessments of any field events.

Key duties of the Reliability Engineer Manager:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and expertise in review of qualification plans, reliability reports, and QARB (Qualification Action Review Board) submissions.
- Lead and coach current team and train new reliability hires in problem solving, risk analysis / mitigation and qualification execution.
- Propose and/or develop short and long-term objectives for reliability engineering and operations.
- Prioritize projects and allocate resources to meet ADI, GO&T and Quality group objectives / KPIs.
- Collaborate with Reliability lab operations and hardware groups to ensure product qualification readiness and execution compliant to ADI and Industry standards.
- Collaborate with CQE, SQE, PQE, PYE, and QMS teams in Quality to promote One-Quality culture, and support customer-specific quals/risk assessments, change management, audits support, etc.
- Foster model where Reliability Engineering acts as the communication and action management bridge between internal Product Line customers and the Reliability Operations team.
- Drive reduction of valid failures via implementation of risk-based failure mitigation and qualification planning.
- Drive reduction of invalid failures via improvements upstream (e.g., ATE robustness) and downstream (e.g., rel lab handling)
- Identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency (e.g., qual C/T) and robustness (e.g., upstream derisking). Collaborate with other reliability managers via RST (Reliability Steering Team) and other leaders with Quality to define and meet associated goals.
- Supporting internal/external customers with general reliability related inquiries.
Qualifications/Skill Set
- BS EE, ME, Chem, Materials, Physics, or related field.
- Experience in semiconductor industry in packaging, wafer fabrication, design, or device physics.
- Proficient in technical writing, project management, and independent research.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving methods and Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus.
