Day to Day
Work to reduce, mitigate, or offset Indeed's Scope 3 emissions to the maximum extent possible. Work with business leaders, and those in the business who lead teams responsible for Scope 3 emissions, to collect and act on data to assist in the development of strategies to reduce and eliminate environmental sustainability impacts focused on Scope 3 emissions. Focus on the areas of highest emissions associated with the environmental footprint, supporting Indeed to understand, in a data-driven manner, top emitting suppliers and helping develop a program to influence vendors. Benchmark Indeed's Scope 3 emissions and mitigation efforts against those of other institutions and identify partnership opportunities as applicable. Lead research and analysis efforts associated with Scope 3 emissions and guide Indeed to use the results strategically. Develop the vision for high-level strategic program initiatives to meet business objectives for Indeed's Net Zero 2030 goal, driving business development strategy to meet program goals. Assist in creating systems and processes for value chain environmental inventories. Evaluate survey tools and existing systems for integration opportunities. Help collect data to support Scope 3 inventory. Seek innovative technologies and solutions to drive carbon reductions.
Position is in Austin, TX. Up to 100% telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in biology, biosciences, bioengineering, environmental science, or a closely related field, or a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in business administration with demonstrated coursework, certification, or internship in environmental sustainability;
- 5 years of experience in corporate environmental sustainability or responsible sourcing;
- 2 years of experience working with the World Resources Institute (WRI) greenhouse gas (GHG) protocol;
- 2 years of experience with data gathering and analysis across multiple Scope 3 categories;
- 2 years of experience with the development and implementation of data-driven Scope 3 emissions mitigation solutions;
- 2 years of experience analyzing Scope 3 environmental impacts; and
- 2 years of experience working cross functionally.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
