JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is expected to initiate and evaluate the "total project" which will maximize production efficiencies for the company. Comprehension of the total ME function, product, processes, and systems are expected, as well as resourcefulness and considerable judgment are required for implementing projects effectively. This role manages projects in a manufacturing environment in both manufacturing and office areas to reduce costs and to improve productivity, work environments, systems, and tools. Initiates, researches, formulates and develops project plans. Facilitates and directs cross-functional teams to implement projects from conception through implementation.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Functions as the Change Agent for project initiatives that improve overall company productivity and Economic Value Added (EVA).
- Supports company strategic plans and goals by developing new methods, layouts, tooling, and systems that maximize EVA.
- Enhances and maintains shop manufacturing practices and procedures.
- Performs as liaison between shop manufacturing and other support groups regarding product manufacturability.
- Develops Manufacturing Procedures and maintains the same for ISO 9000 compliance.
- Provides accurate and valid information regarding detailed manufacturing procedures, processes and tolerances to manufacturing personnel.
- Serves as the leader in cross-functional teams with regard to manufacturing projects, easily facilitating meetings.
- Functions as coach and consultant with regard to project initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Project, Access and Excel).
- Self- motivated and able to work independently or with a team.
- Work multiple projects concurrently, using strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong ability to stay focused and resourcefulness to know where/how to get the information needed for the projects assigned.
- Good interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, are necessary to present project information to the management staff and to sale the recommendation for change or improvement.
- Good judgement and discretion is necessary when working with confidential information.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of employees using fair and non-discriminating attitudes and practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial technology/management
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing
