This position will be responsible for the process engineering support of production electromechanical and gyroscopic products. The position includes monitoring and maintaining production yields by troubleshooting, evaluating, and resolving technical complex issues affecting process, tooling, materials, or equipment. You will also assist in designing and developing manufacturing processes for products in full rate production and for transitioning new products from design and development to full rate production.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes and modifies product designs in collaboration with Design Engineering to assure manufacturability.
  • Develops design, selection, specification, and optimization of the required equipment, fixtures, tooling, gaging,
  • processes, and operations. Determines other technical matters required to make a given product according to the
  • desired volume, timetable, cost, quality level, and other specifications. Includes the monitoring of established
  • processes via data collection for statistical analysis purposes as well as the use of various continuous improvement
  • enablers. May evaluate manufacturing capability and provide technical support at the supply base.
  • Designs and develops manufacturing processes for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the
  • transfer of technology from research to manufacturing. Such design and development may include new or
  • revised processes. Develops procedures for the economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and
  • production departments. Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine
  • control over applicable variables; and services, troubleshoots and solves production process problems with
  • processes or equipment already in operation. Reviews field support requirements and recommends tools and test
  • equipment. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. May make recommendations
  • concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing industry experience preferred
