Description:

Sagent Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist. This role participates in designing, creating, and delivering tactical marketing programs and strategies to support the growth and expansion of the generic injectable portfolio. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build captivating marketing content and promotions that include integrated social media strategies and campaigns, product launch support, label development, and tradeshow materials to drive sales growth. The ideal candidate should possess experience in downstream pharmaceutical marketing, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Schaumburg, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

Success in the role is measured on:
  • Completion and effectiveness of responsible downstream marketing activities within established timelines and goals.
  • Ability to manage and enhance presence on social media platforms, targeting pharmacy directors, hospital buyers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Aptitude to work autonomously and take initiative.
  • Sales and customer feedback.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement marketing strategies for generic injectable products, including product launch materials, label development, promotions, and events in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including email campaigns, social media, and website content, to increase brand awareness and drive leads.
  • Generate and disseminate digital content to bolster brand awareness across target audiences through proficient social media management, digital marketing, content planning, writing, and editing skills.
  • Organize and manage participation in trade shows and digital health industry events, ensuring prominent representation.
  • Create and manage assigned marketing materials, including product brochures, sales presentations, and digital content to support sales efforts.
  • Analyze marketing performance data to optimize campaigns, improve engagement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Evaluate and communicate new marketing opportunities to manager, consistent with business objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration and content of company website, including customer inquiries.
  • Work closely with industry experts and internal teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the latest trends in pharmaceutical digital marketing.
  • Manage and execute all requested mailings of promotional materials and trade shows.
  • Proactively continues to strengthen subject matter expertise through on the job experience, participation in conferences, and other forums for professional knowledge sharing.

Knowledge or Experience:
  • Mandatory downstream marketing experience within the healthcare industry including both digital and traditional tactical material.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and delivering accurate work.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, communication and project management skills with the ability to manage and excel with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and sales strategies.
  • Excellent creative, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to construct persuasive marketing content.
  • Effectively prioritize workload and manage time to complete assigned projects within established timelines and goals.
  • Self-directed, task oriented and effective team player.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Marketo, etc.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
  • 2 plus years proven healthcare industry experience in downstream marketing - pharmaceutical preferred.
  • Ability to oversee multiple and competing projects in a fast-paced, changing team environment.
  • Have a passion for quality and impeccable detail orientation.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and a flexible team-oriented perspective.
  • Solid business acumen and project management.

Education / Certifications:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.


Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 10%-15%
