Overview
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Senior .NET Consultant for a primarily remote opportunity, with occasional onsite reporting during key project phases in Columbus, OH.
Position Overview
As a Senior .NET Consultant, you will be responsible for working in an agile development environment to design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and user-friendly .NET applications. You will collaborate closely with IT supervisors, project managers, business analysts, QA developers, and other developers to gather requirements, design solutions, and provide technical support. You will also be instrumental in migrating legacy applications to modern .NET solutions, with a focus on C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.

Position Overview
As a Senior .NET Consultant, you will be responsible for working in an agile development environment to design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and user-friendly .NET applications. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design applications, and implement solutions.
- Develop and rewrite legacy applications using .NET technologies, focusing on C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.
- Implement N-tier architecture and ensure compliance with ODPS coding standards.
- Create presentations, demo changes, and deploy updates.
- Provide ongoing technical customer support and ensure system stability.
- Mentor and guide technical staff, offering leadership and support in best practices and development strategies.
- Work within an agile development framework to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a .NET Web Developer, with expertise in ASP.NET Core MVC applications.
- 10+ years of experience in ASP.NET development using C#.
- 10+ years of experience in SQL Server database design and development, including query optimization, stored procedures, views, and functions.
- 10+ years of experience developing applications with Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later.
- 10+ years of experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), including Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
- 10+ years of experience with N-tier development and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment.
- 5+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs and web services using .NET Core and .NET 5/6/8.
- Proficiency with code repository strategies and deployment tools like Azure DevOps (TFS), including git, boards, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding and experience in implementing secure coding practices.
- 5+ years of experience in developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- 5+ years of experience with Visual Studio 2019.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience with ETL development.
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Familiarity with cloud computing (Azure and/or AWS), containers, and Kubernetes.
- MCPD certification is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI for report development.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery.
- Experience implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) or other testing strategies.
