Job Description:
Provide a short description of the Position:
- Design and implement solutions on Concerts and CFR Rewrite project using C#, .Net, MVC, PL/SQL, Angular and various other programming tools.
Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:
Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 or higher and write code using MVC Architecture, .Net, JavaScript, Angular, Ajax, HTML, XML and WCF.
- Prepare scripts to create and modify existing Oracle tables, create indexes, constraints, triggers, views, etc., code stored procedures and packages, convert and migrate data when necessary.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot various rules, calculations, and data issues on application reports using Crystal Reports.
- Mentor and assist other programmers, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations.
- Use a source code repository, such as Tortoise SVN or Visual SVN, or TFS for checking source code in and out, and branching off new versions of the source code.
- Work within the IT Service Management System to take in incidents and service requests for the application, as well as request services from other ITS groups.
- Coordinate service requests with various ITS Chief Operating Office personnel for releases and changes for the application.
- Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Escalate critical calls as necessary and join bridge calls to assist in diagnosis.
- Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor
Technical Skills Required
Programming & Development:
- C# & .NET Framework (MVC architecture)
- ASP.NET MVC for web application development
- JavaScript, Angular, Ajax, HTML, XML for front-end development
- WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) for web services
Database & Backend Development:
- Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
- Writing complex stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, and constraints
- Data migration and conversion
Debugging & Troubleshooting:
- Crystal Reports for report generation and debugging issues
- Diagnosing business rules, calculations, and data issues
- ITSM (IT Service Management) experience for handling incidents and service requests
Version Control & Deployment:
- Tortoise SVN, Visual SVN, or TFS for version control
- Code branching, merging, and source control best practices
Collaboration & Release Management:
- Working with IT Service Management Systems (ITSM) to handle service requests and incidents
- Coordinating releases and changes with internal IT teams
